Privacy, in plain English.

Last updated July 2026

I'm not a faceless company. I'm Maev — and I take it seriously that you're trusting me with photos of yourself. Here's exactly what I do with your information, and what I don't.

What I collect

When you fill out the intake form, I collect:

That's it. I don't collect payment information directly — payments go through Venmo, which has its own privacy policy.

What I do with it

I use your information for one thing: to find you on your best day and deliver a headshot you love. Specifically:

I don't sell your information. I don't share it with advertisers. I don't use it to train AI models without your permission.

Your photos

Your photos are yours. I will never share, publish, or use your photos — including your finished headshot — without asking you first. If I'd love to feature your headshot as an example for other women, I'll ask explicitly. You can say no. No pressure, ever. ♡

How I store your information

Your intake form responses are stored securely through Tally (tally.so), which uses industry-standard encryption. Your photos are stored securely and are not publicly accessible.

How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable period afterward in case you want to come back for another look. If you'd like me to delete your information at any time, just email me and I'll take care of it.

Third-party services I use

A few services help me run Just Ask Maev:

Each of these has their own privacy policy. I choose partners I trust and who take data seriously.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

Just email me at hello@justaskmaev.com and I'll respond within a few days.

About Maev & AI tools

Maev is an AI persona — the judgment, curation, and warmth you experience are built into how she works. Just Ask Maev is the company behind her.

To create your headshot, Maev uses AI tools including ChatGPT. When you submit your photos, they are processed through these tools. OpenAI's privacy policy governs how they handle data — you can review it at openai.com/privacy.

I only use AI tools I trust, and I will always tell you which ones. If that changes, I'll update this page.

Questions?

I'm a real person behind Maev and happy to talk through any of this. Reach me at hello@justaskmaev.com.
